With less than a month before entries close for the 2007 Havering Business Awards on 6th July, companies in the borough are being encouraged to ‘go for it’.
Bill Williams, Chief Executive of CEME said: “This event is stimulating for all organisations that enter and undoubtedly a boost for businesses that succeed in the Awards. This year, we’re delighted to sponsor the Innovation Award and look forward to meeting the companies on the shortlist.”
The Innovation Award is designed to acknowledge the successful use of technology and innovation within business. This award is looking for the organisation which has seen an opportunity to deliver a new service or product, or employ an innovative approach within its operation.
Bill Williams said: “The use of IT, new technology, creative management methods and innovative products can give an organisation a clear competitive edge and lead to business success. And CEME was set up to help companies at any stage of their development in all these areas.”
The event, hosted this year by extrovert comedienne and chat show host Ruby Wax, will be held at Maylands Golf Club on Friday 28th September. Judges will visit the three shortlisted companies in August.
The awards are organised by the Regeneration and Strategic Planning team at London Borough of Havering and includes 12 categories from retailing excellence and environmental practices to awards for Business Man and Woman of the Year.
