The CEME team is busy preparing for the most exciting event in Havering this month – the Havering Business Awards on Friday 25th September. The CEME Conference Centre is pulling out all the stops to make this year’s event the most spectacular yet.

This month saw the departure of Chris Allen as IT manager for CEME. Chris has been with CEME for two years and in this time managed the biggest single project CEME has undertaken since its opening with a £0.5 million network refresh. With Chris Allen’s departure Chris George (previously IT Team Leader) has been appointed to fill the management position.

CEME is currently delivering a mentoring project, which involves getting clusters of businesses together with a facilitator to look at common issues facing their business and to share experiences. Using our database of clients we canvassed businesses by email and Boleyn Transport Ltd, responded and joined the Automotive mentoring group in the autumn of 2008.

Last week, the CEME Management team took a trip to the Hethel Engineering Centre near Norwich. Hethel Engineering Centre is a business centre dedicated to supporting the growth and success of high performance engineering and manufacturing companies and individuals throughout the region.
