Why Engineering?

The demand for engineering based jobs and careers is high but our local employers tell us there is a shortage of skilled labour and your teenager could make a real difference.

At CEME we offer a number of courses:

  • engineering,
  • manufacturing,
  • product design
  • motor vehicle

These courses have allowed our students to progress onto :

  • Further study within the college
  • Modern apprenticeships
  • Careers with major engineering or manufacturing companies
  • Careers with local engineering and manufacturing small to medium enterprises.
  • Higher Education within Thames Gateway College or Universities
  • Promotion within their own organisations.

  • 2300 square metres of fully equipped workshops,
  • heavy duty training rooms,
