Teachers
CEME can provide state of the art design and technology facilities and support to enhance your teaching. We will help you to access new and exciting teaching materials and state of the art equipment to give your students a head start.
If you feel your own skills and subject knowledge could benefit from being refreshed, we also have a range of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses.
How can your students benefit?
The purpose built design studios and workshops contain all you need to make your lessons come alive for your students. The studios are equipped with all the latest hardware and software that your students will need to design, prototype and build to professional standards.
The state of the art facility provides curriculum support for:
- GCSE
- A Level
- B-Tec
The subjects covered include resistant materials, product design and graphic products.
Choose from full Design and Technology GCSE course delivery to a one day complete project such as our popular Amplifier Taster Day.
Your students will have the chance to use CAD software, laser cutters, routing tools. These and the state of the art rapid prototype equipment brings their ideas to life.
You may wish to consider referring some of your pupils onto our successful and popular Saturday Club. The Club is a good introduction to the various different disciplines within engineering and can benefit students in a number of ways.
How can teachers benefit ?
Our CPD courses range from 4 day programmes that raise awareness of the engineering sector and the employment opportunities available locally, to training on workshop equipment and 2D design. In order to minimize any disruption to your teaching, courses normally take place during twilight sessions or school holidays. We welcome ideas on how we can help you so if you have an idea for a CPD course you would like to access, please let us know.
