Towards the end of 2016, staff and tenants on the CEME campus were invited to vote for one of three charities to support. After careful consideration and recognising the importance of supporting a local charity, three charities were selected. These were Havering Mind, who provide advice and support to anyone experiencing mental health issues in the Havering Borough, Havering & Brentwood Bereavement Service who provide counselling to children and young adults and Little Havens Children’s Hopsice. Votes were placed and Little Havens Children’s Hospice won the majority vote.
Events were organised during the course of the year by Michelle Ramsey and Jodie Gray, PA to CEO Bill Williams, which included a Halloween film screening of “Sixth Sense”, various cake sales and a raffle at the CEME staff and tenant Summer BBQ.
A fantastic £500.00 was raised for Little Havens Children’s Hospice who provide hospice, respite and end of life care for babies and children with life-changing and life-threatening illnesses. The care is provided free of charge to families in need and this is only possible thanks to the generosity of the thousands of Little Havens supporters.
