Entrepreneurs and tech-lovers are invited to our all-new TechVent at the official launch of the CEME Launchpad Centre on Monday 19th June.
Visitors will be treated to a line-up of show-stopping demonstrations, talks by industry-leading speakers and unlimited networking opportunities.
The FREE one-day event will officially open the Launchpad Centre, which offers affordable office space and a collaborative working environment to manufacturing, engineering and technology start-ups.
Attendees will see inspiring demonstrations from a broad spectrum of technology-based start-ups from augmented reality apps through to motion-mapping.
The event will include a comprehensive speaker program from authoritative industry thought-leaders on start-ups, entrepreneurship, gaming, web design, coding and the digital landscape.
Visitors can engage with a social media discussion panel looking at the role of social networks on start-ups and how it can be used to grow business.
Tom Ashby, Commercial Director at CEME Innovation Centre believes TechVent will highlight what the Launchpad Centre is all about saying: “TechVent is a day where we celebrate the fast-moving digital landscape and the technology that is transforming the market around us.
CEME is proud to be the home of innovation and we are excited by the opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing the next line of exciting start-ups looking to make a difference.”
Phil Elliott, Director of Community & Indie Development at Square Enix, who will be speaking at the event said: “It’s a pleasure to be speaking at TechVent as I feel it is vital to offer advice and guidance to young entrepreneurs looking to bring their ideas to market.
I’ll be focusing my talk around what developers need to do before they prepare to sit down in front of investors, as well as how they can build a buzz around the project prior to launch.”
Steve Moore, Havering Council’s Director of Neighbourhoods said: “CEME plays an active role in supporting Havering’s aim to provide first-class business opportunities, as well as being a hub for start-ups and existing businesses.”
“We are pleased to be working in partnership with CEME and the Mayor of London’s team to attract businesses and investment into London Riverside at the Launchpad Centre, and we look forward to TechVent as the showcase of the digital expertise that is choosing Havering as its home.”
