A Delicious and Healthy New Normal @ CEME

News

Times flies when you are having fun. It has now been 3 months since the 1st of June when my colleagues and I returned to the office full time and the time has really shot by!

Since June, we have gradually seen our Campus repopulate following the UK National lock-down. We measured this via our car park occupancy, which dropped to around 10% during lock-down. As of the beginning of September, the car parks are now at 50% occupancy and growing!

From the 1st of September, we are delighted to announce some new additions to the Campus

A Refreshing change at CEME Café…

We have a brand new supplier managing the catering at CEME Café. After a detailed procurement exercise, Graysons Restaurants won the tender and are now providing mouth-watering hot and cold delicacies from the on-site café and restaurant.

I have personally been a great supporter to the newcomers over the past week by regularly “sampling” the fantastic array of food now available just a stones throw from my office. The Moroccan meatballs and Jerk chicken were a big hit in my book and I have just finished a fillet of hake with garlic potatoes, which I enjoyed on a wooden table outside and overlooking the lake. There are of course an array of delicious plant-based options available as well. Next week the headliners include Green Thai Summer Vegetable curry and Mexican Bean, cheddar & sweet potato quesadillas which I have yet to sample and are destined to spoil my tea and upset my wife…

“Sitting is the new smoking”

To burn off the additional calories, we have also installed a brand-new CEME Walking Trail Map around Campus.

We’re keen to support the UK Governments’s Better Health campaign. We are also incredibly lucky to have such beautiful surroundings on our Campus in East London. As a result, we have created a 1km walking trail to allow customers and visitors to appreciate it. The trail takes around 12 minutes to complete, burning around 45-65 calories per circuit and is easily accessible from all four entrances on site.

The trail has been curated to pass all of the best features of the campus including the lake featuring our prized koi carp, a family of geese and (if you’re lucky enough to see them) a small colony of Bunnies! Customers have been utilising the trail to host 10 minute walking meetings, which we’re very keen to encourage.

Join us on campus for a delicious lunch and then take a stroll around our business campus. Let me know when you’re next available for a tour!

All the best,

Seb Coombs
